In the wild, under intense UV, drought and extreme heat, the microalgae Haematococcus Pluvialis does not weaken. It produces astaxanthin, a protective pigment shown to neutralise oxidative damage up to 6,000 times more effectively than Vitamin C¹, that supports its survival in the harshest conditions.
That is why we chose it. Independent ex-vivo studies show this active helps skin build up its own natural defences against blue light and UV, working deep down while still guarding the surface.

What you may be asking
Why does the serum contain more than one oil?
Your skin does not face one kind of pressure in a day, it faces several, often at once. Recycled air on a flight. Hours under office lighting and a screen. Pollution on the commute.
Each of those wears on your skin differently. Every oil in this serum was chosen to respond to a specific stressor, through its own natural pathway and at its own strength. Together, they work as a system, not a single defence for one moment, but continuous support for full calendars and demanding days. This is why we take the time we do to select them. Nothing is added because a longer list looks more convincing. Every oil earns its place.
Will these oils clog my pores or cause breakouts?
No. Most of the oils in this serum are linoleic-acid dominant, the fatty acid profile most compatible with clear, balanced skin, not the heavier oleic-rich oils known to clog pores. It absorbs fully, so it won't sit on the surface and leave your face shining under office lighting or on a client call.
What is the difference between the active ingredients and the supporting oils in my serum?
Active ingredients are concentrated compounds, each directed at a specific skin concern, excess sebum, pollution damage, loss of firmness, so a small amount does a defined job. That is why each is dosed at the exact percentage shown in its clinical study, no more, no less.
Supporting oils work differently. Their benefit comes from their full fatty acid and vitamin profile, not one dosed compound, so they are used at a higher volume to carry that nourishment and help the actives reach where they need to go.
Do I still need a separate Vitamin E or Vitamin C serum if mine already contains these vitamins?
Adding a separate Vitamin E or Vitamin C serum is your choice to make, not something this serum is lacking. Vitamin E is already present here in two ways, naturally through oils like Watermelon Seed Oil and Grapeseed Oil, and as a deliberate addition at a meaningful antioxidant level.
For Vitamin C, one of our active ingredients carries astaxanthin, shown to neutralise oxidative damage up to 6,000 times more effectively than Vitamin C, dosed at the same percentage used in its clinical studies. Working alongside the other Vitamin C sources already in the formula, it gives your skin that antioxidant protection. Unless you are specifically looking for a different form of Vitamin C, this serum already delivers it.
Does the texture or performance of an oil-based serum change between seasons or climates?
No, this serum stays exactly the same, whatever the season. What changes is what your skin needs from it. In winter, when your skin needs stronger occlusion to hold moisture in, it delivers that without ever feeling heavy. In summer, it works just as fluidly, and you may find a few drops is all you need. The feel and the performance never change. Only what your skin is asking for does.
