You run several lives from one seat
That seat could be a plane.
A car.
An office.
An emergency room.
Wherever that seat is, what you are carrying does not pause.
THE FOUNDER
Josephine's career spans over two decades in complex and demanding corporate environments, including senior leadership roles across continents and global project and change management initiatives.
She lived that life. She watched it play out on the women around her. Tired eyes after back-to-back meetings and a night spent tending to a loved one. The flight that leaves before 6am. The night before opening arguments at trial.
In meeting room after meeting room, she saw professional, emotional and environmental stress take its toll on career women's faces. And she watched how often it got misread as overwhelmed, not quite ready for the next big room, too much to manage.
Nothing on the shelf had been developed with the career woman's reality in mind. Skincare either asked for seven steps and twenty minutes she did not have, or it did too little to matter. She needed skincare built to do the work in the time she actually had, because her time is her most valuable asset.
That is what finally inspired Josephine to pursue formal education in Cosmetic Science.
Dame Jo!® became the first skincare brand to formulate from global workforce data and the documented reality of the career woman's professional life.
The Turning Point
"We are read before we are heard. I wanted the reading to be fair."
Josephine
THE PROOF
For years, ambition sat quietly in the background as I built my career, leading global teams from Africa to Europe, the Middle East to Asia.
I know what it means to run on four hours of sleep and still walk into the room composed, to run a home from wherever the work calls, to juggle a full calendar, a flight, a deadline, and still show up, fully present.
I was not the only one. I saw it in rooms I sat in, in career women I crossed paths with over the years. What I lived and what I saw in them showed me one side of the picture. I wanted the full view. Because a fair reading needed more than my own experience and observations. So I went looking for proof.
That search led me to workforce research built to study exactly this: women in the workplace, seen with a clear lens, the same ground Dame Jo! was built to stand on.
These lived experiences, observations, and validated workforce data form the basis of every Dame Jo!® formulation.
Here is how that shows up in every formula
OUR PRINCIPLES
Science
because we do not chase trends. We asked a different question: what does her skin actually need, given the reality of her demanding day?
Nature
because clean beauty means land and sea meet with intention: potent botanical extracts and rich marine-based active ingredients, never animal derived.
Soul
because this work is deeply personal to us, made in small batches to ensure precision and quality control.
"We asked the question: what does her skin actually need, given the reality of her demanding day?"
OUR VALUES
Four things guide how we put that into practice.
Transparency
you deserve to know what goes into every formula, and why.
Integrity
every active ingredient clinically validated and dosed at the level the science actually demands.
Care
because every batch that reaches you is touched, weighed, and blended with purpose and precision.
Empowerment
because tired eyes and dull skin should never be mistaken for a lack of capacity, no matter how little sleep you had the night before.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What you may be asking
Why does Dame Jo! build from workforce data instead of skin type?
Skin type tells you if your skin is dry or oily. It does not tell you what a demanding career does to your skin. We build from workforce data, lived experience, and real proof of what nonstop pressure, travel, and pollution do to your skin, no matter your skin type.
What does "skin strategy, not just skincare" mean?
Strategy is a deliberate plan built on a clear understanding of a situation, grounded in evidence. We understand the current reality of your skin, backed by data and lived experience; what you are up against every day. From that understanding, we formulate with intention, working toward a clear outcome. That is why we call it skin strategy, not just skincare.
Is Dame Jo! only for women in office jobs?
No. Career women means corporate leaders, doctors, scientists, lawyers, engineers, lecturers and professors, and every high-achieving professional woman carrying a full calendar and a demanding day, whatever field she works in. If your day starts early and asks a lot of you, Dame Jo! was built with you in mind.
Why antipollution, specifically?
A demanding career already carries the full weight of pollution. Commute air, office and cabin air, and digital pollution from screens and artificial light, before you have even left your desk. Antipollution protection responds to what your skin actually faces, not a trend added for the label.
Why is the Dame Jo! range curated rather than extensive?
More products does not mean more results. Every Dame Jo! product earns its place through evidence, not because it is what brands routinely do, not because of an ingredient trend, and not because of a beauty movement. The range will grow only as far as your skin needs it to. That is curation as a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
